Combination Bracket/Aligner Treatment
Our office has the unique ability and technology to create our own aligners. Using this technology, we can be more flexible and add treatment choices other Orthodontists don’t. Sometimes patients need more movement, more esthetic options, or different treatment appliances may be better for specific results.
Envision Aligners
Aligner treatment has gained popularity over the last several years. There are many companies that can move teeth with a series of aligner “retainers” instead of traditional brackets and wires. Our office has taken this process to a more advanced level. Other Orthodontists use the aligner companies which use lab technicians to design your movements and aligners.
Interceptive Phase I Treatment
Sometimes younger patients have a unique malocclusion, severity of malocclusion, or a malocclusion causing trauma that requires a two-step interceptive treatment. The goal of the first phase is NOT to complete your child’s treatment. The goal is to correct the malocclusion to a point to remove the trauma or to make full treatment more predictable with better results than waiting to perform treatment as a single phase.
Sleep Apnea
Sleep Apnea is a sleep disorder in which breathing repeatedly stops and starts, often in association with snoring. The most common type of apnea is Obstructive Sleep Apnea where the throat muscles physically obstruct the airway.
TMD
Some people have noises or pain emanating from their jaw joints. There are many causes for this to occur many of which are not Orthodontic. However, a common reason is clenching or grinding your teeth together. This may occur with or without a malocclusion (bad bite).
