Envision Clear Aligners
At Douglas N. Smith Orthodontics, the movements are performed by Dr. Doug. This hands-on approach gives us better control of the entire process from start to finish. We are extremely proud to be able to scan your teeth, digitally move your dentition, print the models, and fabricate your customized aligners right in the office!

Braces
Metal
Even though there are many types of braces, traditional braces are still the most popular option. These braces use stainless steel brackets and archwires to move your teeth into their proper position.

Combination Treatment
It is also possible to have brackets on several teeth that may be more misaligned while simultaneously treating the remaining dentition with Envision Aligners. The possibilities are only limited by creativity! Rest assured, we’ll thoroughly assess your situation and work diligently to find the perfect treatment combination for your needs.
All Ages
Early Treatment
The American Association of Orthodontics (AAO) recommends that children visit an orthodontist as soon as their dentist notices that there might be a problem or around seven years old. We may not have to do anything at this age other than monitor the child’s mouth. However, if we continue to watch your child, we can start treatment right away if something arises.
All Ages
Adult Treatment
Orthodontic treatments are not just for your smile. Fixing your teeth can also dramatically change your oral health. When you have crooked teeth or a malocclusion (uneven bite), you may be prone to oral health problems such as gum disease and tartar buildup. We’ll work together to find the best treatment option for you so you can have the beautiful, bright smile you deserve.
Sleep Apnea
In collaboration with your physician, we can provide you with an appliance to advance the lower jaw while sleeping to help reduce or eliminate the obstruction.
TMD/TMJ
Treatment typically includes a customized TMD/TMJ splint to alleviate the clenching or grinding habit. Sometimes brackets or aligners are also used to correct alignment or malocclusion to help with symptoms.
